CHRIS MORANO

In my paintings the conveyance of an idea is the centerpiece of the picture making process. Concordantly, I have no desire to make pictures that are meant only to add color to walls. I believe a painting should be clear in its aims. I accept the fact that a viewer will interpret an image based on their own personal prism, but I want to ensure that at the very least, the viewer is provided with a strong pictorial conduit through which their personal feelings are channeled. If a picture is a conversation, then I'd rather have one that is purposeful and coherent.
